Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration 
  • 3 years’ records management or related experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with records databases, and records policies and practices
  • Must be able to travel to offices within the region

Preferred Requirements:
  • Knowledge of legal records and case management
  • Experience in a legal or professional services firm
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment 

What will your day look like?
You will oversee the operations and activities of the records department managers and staff for an assigned region which includes traveling to offices to audit processes and work with our legal personnel on a regular basis. You will collaborate with the Sr. Manager Information Governance and the Director of Information Governance to develop and implement national records policies, procedures and systems as they relate to client records.

You will also develop and manage the risk management components of records management to include ethical walls, subpoenas served on the firm, and annotating the records database with ethical wall information to preclude screened individuals from viewing restricted files. You will assist with maintaining the records database by conducting audits to ensure proper file coding and location information is entered and that there are no compliance discrepancies. Alongside the Sr. Manager Information Governance and staff, you will work towards a paperless work environment and develop a more efficient process for records data retrieval.

Your knowledge of local and national IG and RIM policies and procedures, initiatives, challenges, projects, as well as knowledge of strategic RIM direction is key when communicating with senior management, technical staff, office managers, etc.
