This position is located in the New York office.

The Legal Support Services team in conjunction with the accounting and billing teams provides a cohesive, full-cycle billing support solution to billing attorneys with complex domestic and international billing books.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Requirements:
  • Some college preferred
  • 2 years' experience with billing support and clerical experience in a law firm or professional services organization

What will your day look like?
This position works directly with the Client Account Specialist (CAS) and Global Client Financial Management (GCFM) teams by providing them with proformas and other billing information to review before finalization. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of duties within the full billing cycle, including, but not limited to, partner time entry, engagement letter compliance, proforma edits, requisite approvals for deferrals and write-offs and time transfers.

Additional responsibilities will include preparing draft invoices, tracking client guidelines, and coordinating with the GCFM Analyst as well as the CAS to ensure a cohesive, full-cycle and successful billing solution. You will also work with timekeepers and/or Legal Secretaries to manage and administer conflicts processes for intake of new matters and provide other administrative support or project assistance as needed.
