Business Development Specialist
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing
- 6 years’ demonstrated experience developing persuasive content for pitches, proposals, and RFPs in a law firm or professional services organization
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Editing, researching, and proofreading capabilities
- Solid project management and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative and dependable team-player
- Ability to organize and prioritize a multitude of projects with minimal supervision
- Interested in international transactions within emerging markets
- Flexibility and creativity to respond productively to the individualized needs of the attorneys
What will your day look like?
You will play a pivotal role in drafting pitch and proposal materials for the Finance practice group. You will fully integrate with the practice group, becoming a subject-matter expert who is able to accurately outline the unique services provided by the firm. You will work closely alongside attorneys and business development staff to gather content, client relationship data, firm statistics and competitive intelligence.
You will be responsible for conducting research on current and prospective clients, collaborating with partners to understand the nature of the opportunity and the prospective client’s needs. You will then incorporate all information into a professional, well-written, and highly competitive proposal which addresses client needs while highlighting the firm’s strengths.
Additionally, you will promote marketing initiatives that drive positive brand recognition and revenue growth. You will work directly with Project Finance practice leadership to develop and implement marketing and communications goals and initiatives with an eye for developing leads and opportunities.
You are responsible for working with practice leadership to identify strategic relationships with high-profile, market-moving organizations and facilitate the practice’s ability to leverage these organizations to drive branding and business development opportunities.
You will collaborate with practice leaders to manage the marketing budget that aligns with the practice goals and provide an evaluation of the return on investment of each event and sponsorship.
