Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of administrative or customer service experience
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel
• Accurate proofreader and have strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and is able to take direction well
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and timekeepers
• Team-oriented and have ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Requirements:

• Some college coursework
• Experience with accounting systems such as Elite and/or Aderant
• Direct billing experience in a law or professional services firm 


What will your day look like?
You will work with a team of support specialist within both Legal Support Services and Accounting teams to provide effective, streamlined billing and client account services to the firm. Edit, proofread, finalize and submit invoices to clients on monthly billing cycle. You will research client billing data and provide detailed analysis to attorneys and support staff. Work as part of a team to provide a cohesive, full-cycle billing support solution for each lawyer.

For US clients, you will perform a variety of duties to support the full billing cycle to include reviewing and editing proformas, seeking requisite approvals for deferrals, write-offs and time transfers. Gather and submit accrual information based on client requirements. Maintain an accurate description of all client billing requirements which may also include guidelines established by the clients general counsel. Updates and tracks changes to the requirements as necessary.

Additionally, for global clients, you will manage global client account assignments. Liaise with international attorney and/or finance counterparts to obtain accurate accrual and forecasting information for monthly client reporting. You will follow up frequently with international counterparts to ensure that engaged locations stay within budget and issues invoices timely. Troubleshoot issues with finance counterparts as needed.
