Minimum Requirements:
  • College degree or related course work in accounting/finance
  • 5 years’ collections experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid time management and organizational skills

Preferred Requirements:
  • Elite Business Systems & ARCS experience

What will your day look like?

You will be responsible for assisting the firm in meeting its yearly targeted revenue goals by resolving client, attorney and/or internal staff issues regarding unpaid Accounts Receivable. You will analyze potential collection issues with attorney’s book of business, producing customized collection reports, and contributing collections information from firm-wide reports as needed. This role will require you to contact clients, draft spreadsheets, negotiate settlements when required, and periodically travel to various firm offices to meet face-to-face with assigned billing lawyers.

Your primary goal is to reduce the relative aging of client Accounts Receivable through analysis, review, and communication with attorneys and clients. Additional duties include providing backup support to other collectors, and coordinating collections/settlements of DLA Piper US invoices with DLA Piper international offices.
