Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma
  • 2 years' experience as a paralegal or similar position within Conflicts administration
  • Experience with MS Office products 
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills 

Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Experience with database search systems such as Elite, LegalKey, or similar application
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong customer focus and analytical skills

What will your day look like?
Your day will include performing database and Internet searches on client matter data to identify potential conflicts between current and pending DLA Piper clients. There will be constant communication with attorneys, secretaries, various Accounting department staff and New Business Intake staff regarding potential conflict issues. Additionally, you will compile a synopsis for the Conflicts Resolution group to begin the clearing process, provide information to prepare waiver letters and perform screening procedures, as required, to clear potential conflicts.
