Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Records Management, Information Governance, or related field
  • 10 years’ experience in records and information management
  • 5 years' experience building and managing an operational department, including recruitment and supervision of staff
  • Experience managing the records and information management program of a law firm or professional services environment
  • Experience working across geographic areas
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making ability
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task

What will your day look like?

You will be responsible for the strategic development and management of policies, procedures, and systems necessary to support and continually improve the firm’s comprehensive Information Governance program. You will provide strategic oversight, training, and guidance on electronic and physical records management policy for the firm nationwide. You will serve as the top escalation point for program managers and their direct reports across the firm. You will be responsible for interaction between the Office of General Counsel, Records, Information Technology, and legal and support staffs. 


You will also be responsible for maintaining an understanding of the firm’s Information Governance programs being implemented internationally and their potential impact on US operations. You will oversee and facilitate firm-wide training and communication, and driving compliance of the firm’s information governance policy, records management standards, records retention schedules, and disposition procedures which includes periodic internal assessments.
