Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 3 years’ professional print and digital design experience
  • Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role
  • Possesses a strong and dynamic design portfolio
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and After Effects)
  • Working knowledge of digital design software and programming language (HTML/HTML5 and CSS)
  • Knowledge of pre-press, offset and digital printing processes
  • Dual proficiency in Mac and PC platforms required
  • Willingness to work on anything and everything from fully integrated campaigns to presentation decks.
  • A solid understanding of design principles and fundamentals, as well as print and HTML production processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Word
  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrated ability to follow through on tasks
  • Ability to successfully work within a team environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
  • Excellent digital file management skills
  • Availability to work outside normal business hours for high-profile projects if necessary

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in Sketch, Motion Graphic, Cinema 4D or other 3D software
  • Experience with video editing

What will your day look like?
In this role, you will produce graphic design art and visual materials for the firm’s visual identity extension across all branded elements including printed materials, environments, online and interactive media, and video. You will work closely alongside the firm’s Creative Director to create and produce the firm’s visual identity for attorneys and internal clients firmwide.

You are responsible for designing and implementing a visual identity in a way that ensures integrity, consistency, and clarity of the firm’s branding and messaging across all the firm’s touchpoints. You will determine the medium best suited to produce desired effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication. You will develop concepts and graphic elements to meet project objectives and prepare layouts to be rendered using professional design software. You will act as project manager on all assigned projects, managing the creative process from concept to completion, estimating time to complete project work, and communicating with clients in a timely, courteous and professional manner. You are responsible for comprehending, communicating and addressing client goals, budgets, revisions throughout the design management process, and meeting all deadlines. You will use existing photo and illustration libraries and typography guides to produce solutions, while also having the opportunity to create original artwork when needed. You will ensure all files are press-ready and checked for quality prior to release to outside vendors, attending press checks to verify accuracy and quality standards are met.

You will also design web-based and interactive applications in conjunction with programmers and web marketing resources. You will have the opportunity to design environmental graphics and office signage systems. You will serve as a design champion and seize opportunities to educate colleagues and firm staff in the strategic potential of design as a tool for competitive advantage.
