Hospitality Supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma
• 3 years in hospitality environment
• Supervisory or team leader experience
• Budgeting skills for events & department
• Strong experience with MS Word and MS Excel
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and collaborate in a fast paced environment
Preferred Requirements:
• College degree
• Certification by State Health Department in Food Inspection/Preparation
What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for supervising all hospitality functions, including ordering food and beverages, organizing refreshments for internal and external meetings, supervising staff, event planning, tracking the firm’s events calendar, and maintaining expenses related to these areas. You will also be responsible for managing daily workflow and providing leadership and guidance to assigned staff. You will also conduct annual performance management activities.
In addition, you will work alongside office management to coordinate office events (internal and external social functions). This may encompass concept development, site selection, catering, décor, transportation, furniture set-up, contracts, announcements, etc. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices for payment, managing conflicting requests, overseeing an event budget, allocating resources based on firm and client needs, and negotiating fair rates for necessary services.
