Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma  
  • 2 years experience in conflicts or new business intake department; or 3 years experience working in a compliance, legal, regulatory, financial, corporate or ticketing system environment 
  • Experience writing and communicating in a business environment in order to present information in a concise and meaningful end product
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills, with demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions, while maintaining a customer service-oriented manner
  • Ability to apply critical thinking in evaluating different conflicts scenarios or outcomes and be adaptable to changes in the procedures or direction 
  • Must have meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to prioritize and multitask, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high level work product
  • Ability to identify data integrity issues and subsequently resolve them appropriately


Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate 
  • Experience working in a law firm environment 
  • Experience with intake and conflicts software


What will your day look like?
As an Intake Specialist, you will support the firm’s critical risk management function by performing all duties associated with conflicts of interest reporting, including: conducting research on corporate business structures; reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting conflicts search results; generating conflicts reports; utilizing conflicts applications and research methods in order to assess potential legal and business conflicts; conducting new client and anti-money laundering due diligence; communicating with partners, staff, management, and Professional Responsibility Counsel in order to assist in the processing of new business requests.

 
You will conduct research and analyze the corporate business structure and history of potential clients and adversaries. You will be responsible to review, analyze and interpret complex conflicts search results as part of the conflict analysis and reporting process and pursuant to the rules of professional conduct. In addition, you will conduct new client and anti-money laundering due diligence. Additionally, you will coordinate processing and reporting for large and complex search requests, along with coordinate with international counterparts regarding conflict search requests.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements 
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


The expected pay range for this position, if hired to work in Los Angeles, San Diego or Seattle is $30.98 - $43.76 per hour. If hired to work in New York city the expected pay range is $32.39 - $45.75 per hour. If hired to work in Palo Alto or San Francisco the expected pay range is $33.79 - $47.73 per hour. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and paid overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
