Now accepting applications for DLA Piper’s Undergraduate Internship Program!

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Fellowship (CHCI)
A Diversity Pipeline Initiative

DLA Piper’s Fellowship, in partnership with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, identifies, mentors, and develops undergraduate students who aspire to careers in law. Through an 8 – 10 week, paid internship, this experience is designed to provide students a broad view of what it is like to work in a law firm environment and encourage them to begin developing professional networks. The 2021 program will be hosted virtually in our Chicago, IL and Washington, D.C. offices and is scheduled to run for an 8-10 week period.

The ideal candidate is someone who 1) participated in the 2021 Congressional Internship Program with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus; 2) will be a senior for the duration of the program; 3) is performing well academically, and 4) has demonstrated a genuine interest in attending law school.

Interested and qualified candidates must submit the following for consideration: résumé; official school transcript; 2 letters of recommendation; and a cover letter stating their interest in the internship. Applications will be accepted through September 17, 2021. Only complete submissions will be reviewed. Please note that this experience will be entirely virtual, although in the future we hope that the program will be in-person.  Internships will be awarded to two individuals and will be announced on September 22, 2021.
