What will your day look like?
- High school diploma
- 5 years’ docketing experience
- Prior patent prosecution docketing experience
- Strong written and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of foreign and domestic patent prosecution rules
- Strong knowledge of IP docketing systems and business software
The IP Docketing Specialist ensures that all docketing dates and deadlines are met for assigned attorneys, groups, and/or offices.You will be responsible for reviewing and docketing all incoming correspondence. This includes opening new case files and inputting records into the database for both foreign and domestic cases. You may also maintain a monthly USPTO deposit account as well as assist the IP Coordinator and IP Supervisor by reviewing all correspondence and records pertaining to IP Prosecution. You will process requests to transfer cases in and out of the firm, including updating its relevant database and sending boxes with appropriate letters and content lists. You will also prepare and distribute a variety of reports.
