This position is located in the Minneapolis office. 

The Legal Support Services department provides lawyers with a high-level of practice group support and is involved in the day-to-day management of clients and matters.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • 2 years’ clerical experience in a law firm or professional services organization
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Accurate proofreader
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Requirements:
  • Some college course work

What will your day look like?

Your responsibilities will include creating, transcribing, revising, proofreading and maintaining a variety of legal documents while working directly with the legal support staff team and lawyers. You will be responsible for maintaining various calendars while coordinating meetings and appointments. Meetings will often have multiple participants including lawyers and firm clients within the US and Internationally. You will also schedule conference rooms, hospitality services, videoconferencing & Telepresence equipment, and confirm arrangements.

In addition, you will arrange attorney travel and review receipts for reimbursement as well as credit charge reconciliation.

You will exercise judgment in delegating administrative tasks to appropriate firm resources, maintain responsibility for all work, and ensure that it is completed on time and is a quality work product.

You will provide general client support and have client contact. You will use discretion in handling sensitive and confidential firm and client information.
