Litigation Paralegal

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate
• 3 years experience as a litigation paralegal in a legal department or law firm
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with litigation technology, including eDiscovery, and eRooms
• Good experience with legal software such as Relativity
• Strong oral and written communication 

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with Cite-Checking and Blue Booking

What will your day look like?

Your responsibilities will include drafting simple pleadings and/or assist attorneys with major motions and filings. You will perform cite-checking, fact-checking, and Blue Booking of legal memoranda and Sherardizing cases.  You will organize all necessary documents for witness interviews, depositions, hearings, trials, or arbitrations, review, organize and maintain document databases for case tracking, discovery, and document productions.  You will utilize legal software such as Relativity and litigation technology including eDiscovery and data rooms, eFile documents in State and Federal Courts and coordinates service of documents.

Additionally, you will locate and review information applicable to a particular case, person, or subject via online research or document reviews. You will assist in the preparation of pretrial motions, trial binders, trial exhibits, etc. assist attorneys at depositions, hearings, trials, or arbitrations. You will manage data rooms and matter files.
