Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree
3 years’ experience in research or knowledge services
Strong analytical skills to gather, analyze, and interpret a variety of data
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with staff of all levels
Experience conducting online research using various business and legal research platforms
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Requirements:

Master’s degree in Library/Information Science or related field
Knowledge of the legal market and competitors

What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for conducting extensive research on current and potential clients, in addition to key industries, competitors, and new markets. In this role, you will identify market trends, industry developments, client movements and other relevant client news in an effort to provide information for the firm’s marketing department and attorney client teams. You will analyze the firm’s clients, prospects, key industries serviced, competitors and identify new markets. You are additionally responsible for client pitches and provide information needed for RFPs. You will analyze search results, compile reports and provide a written executive summary. You are responsible for providing critical information to the firm’s business development and competitive advantage initiatives. You will assist management with developing a highly functioning global competitive intelligence research and business analysis group by contributing ideas, suggestions, and using information and tools not typically found in a law firm.
