Case Assistant
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Basic knowledge in MS Word and Excel
- One year of office experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of social media and online technology, particularly blogs, social networks, virtual worlds, mobile and other emerging trends (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Interest and willingness to learn about U.S. and international franchising
- Prior experience in a law firm and/or marketing support role
- Willingness to travel to Franchise Team events (local and offsite within the USA)
- Database design, creation and maintenance experience
- Undergraduate degree and/or a paralegal certificate highly preferred
- Willingness to take initiative in outreach to clients and prospective clients
- Excellent judgment, organizational skills and attention-to-detail
- Proficient in MS Outlook
What will your day look like?
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting multi-faceted research in order to grow the Franchise Team. You will assist attorneys and paralegals in maintaining files, drafting summary reports, and compiling documents in order to support projects for clients and prospective clients. You will perform market research about franchise brands, as well as obtain client-related research via public filings for attorney review. You will maintain business development leads for the Franchise Team by expanding the team’s social media presence, identifying national and local Franchise events to network, and continuously update databases of market knowledge. You may assist on other projects that require market, legal and industry research upon attorney request.
