Paralegal - Intellectual Property & Tech

What will your day look like?
A typical day will consist of preparing drafts of legal and other documents and correspondence for attorney review. This will include handling assignments and post registration filings for U.S. registrations, handling U.S. filings for foreign based clients, and keeping clients apprised of the status of marks and patents. You will also work to complete standard U.S. trademark and patent application filings, and individual or limited group foreign filing programs, including legalization of documents.
Your research will focus on locating and reviewing information applicable to a particular case, person or subject via online research or document reviews. You will draft simple pleadings to assist attorneys with major motions and filings. All necessary documents for depositions, hearings, trials or arbitrations will be organized and summarized and key testimony into case database.

- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
- 5 years' experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting supporting an Intellectual Property/ Trademark practice group
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with legal software such as Relativity, LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar technology
- Strong experience filing in Federal Courts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with staff, attorneys and clients on a daily
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly detailed and organized so as to properly prioritize large volumes of work associated with each case and transaction
- 10 years’ experience in a law firm setting supporting an Intellectual Property/ Trademark practice group
- Large firm experience
- Experience filing in Chancery Court
