Paralegal Specialist
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
· 10 years' experience in estate planning and/or trust administration
in a law firm
·
Excellent math skills
·
Excellent organizational and file management
·
Detail oriented
·
Excellent proofreading
·
Excellent oral and written communication
Preferred requirements:
· Experience with preparing estate tax and gift tax returns and CA licensed notary public
What your day will look like?
Under the supervision of attorneys, you will prepare probate court documents such as petitions, orders, inventories, accountings and reports. You will draft revocable living trusts, trust amendments, trust restatements, trust funding memos, wills and codicils, durable powers of attorney for property, and advance health care directives. You will prepare the documents for execution. You will be responsible for preparing deeds, preliminary change of ownership reports, and generally overseeing the transfers of real property. You will handle the administration of trusts and estates. The work requires direct contact with clients, banks, investment firms, corporate and private fiduciaries, government agencies (e.g., Office of the County Recorder, Assessors Office, Probate Court etc.). You must have excellent verbal and written skills.
