DLA Piper's New York Office seeks an associate with 2-3 years of experience and a solid restructuring practice background for its Restructuring Group. The ideal candidate will possesses experience representing and advising companies experiencing financial difficulties, lenders and creditors in complex business reorganizations, debt restructurings and financing matters (ideally debtor-side experience). We seek candidates with immediate transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized law schools. DLA Piper has the one of the largest Restructuring practices in the United States and globally.

Job requirements:
- Strong academic background

- Large law firm experience 
- 1+ years of solid restructuring experience (Chapter 11 experience preferred)
- Experience representing and advising companies experiencing financial difficulties; lenders and creditors in complex business reorganizations, debt restructuring and financing matters
- Debtor-side experience is a plus
