What will your day look like?
As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will design and implement solutions that automate, control, and secure the Data Center infrastructure. You will provide high level operational support of all DLA Pipers compute and storage environments. You will manage the firm’s infrastructure and act as a subject matter expert regarding compute, storage, performance platforms. Additionally, you will help resolve escalated cases from other Engineers and Helpdesk, and perform fault isolation/resolution and root-cause diagnosis and maintain detailed technical documentation.

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- 8 years’ experience managing, monitoring and troubleshooting service hardware and storage systems
- Detailed, technical knowledge of monitoring Cisco UCS and EMC products, server operating systems, hypervisors, SAN products and fabric configuration
- In depth knowledge of scripting languages, including PowerShell, Perl, Visual Basic and/or Python, as well as IAAS, PAAS & SAAS
- Detailed, technical knowledge of Cloud Based solutions from Microsoft Azure and Office365, as well as knowledge of Data Center Automation tools including VRealize
- Excellent problem-solving- and communication skills to deliver both technical and non-technical information
- Ability to analyze and design solutions to address complex technical and business requirements
Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft networking and operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, WINs, DHCP, and SCOM monitoring platforms
- Experience in fabric configuration
- Microsoft System Center and orchestration
- VMWare VCenter product suite
- Understanding of structured programming, communication and networking concepts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
