What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for developing and managing knowledge systems that identify, collect and leverage the firm’s internal/external knowledge to promote a more efficient work flow and provide easy access to pertinent information and analytics. This role will require you to manage the implementation of KM projects across US Practice groups, which includes outlining schedules, parameters, costs, equipment and timelines to rollout new KM projects, programs, and systems. All KM projects and initiatives will be monitored and evaluated via data analysis, benchmarking and other tools as needed.
Your goal is to maintain an end-user focused mindset for developing KM solutions that align with the firm’s strategic goals by developing solutions for knowledge systems and processes. By collaborating with IT, Research, Digital Services and various outside vendors, you will develop a clear methodology for knowledge capture, transfer and reuse. Additional duties include researching and reporting on analytics that capture the ROI of KM initiatives and ensuring continued expertise in industry trends in knowledge management, the legal profession and practice group specific resources.

- Juris Doctor degree or Master of Library Science
- 5 years’ knowledge management experience in a law or professional services environment
- Strong proven project management and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of KM trends, principles, technologies and best practices as they related to law firms and practice group workflows
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with data analysis, data science and/or data visualization methods and tools
- Proficient with MS Excel, MS Access, various KM platforms/solutions, integrated library systems and document/content management systems
- Experience with developing and governing taxonomies and controlled vocabularies
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles
- Practice experience a plus
- Strong, working knowledge of law library resources, fundamentals and procedures
- Knowledge of SQL, HTML and scripting languages such as JSON or JavaScript
