Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
• 8 years’ experience in an accounting or billing environment in a law firm or professional services organization
• 2 years’ experience managing and/or overseeing a billing/invoicing team
• Experience with Elite and/or Aderant plus any e-Billing applications
• Strong experience using in Excel
• Strong analytical skills and comfortable charting large data sets and summarizing trends
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with staff and timekeepers
• Team-oriented and have ability to work effectively and collaboratively in fast-paced environment which may require long hours to meet workload needs
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and is able to take direction well
• Ability to lead and manage a diverse team and provide training and guidance to ensure consistent application of billing procedures across the team
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills 

Preferred Requirements:
• Business Intelligence software and reporting

What will your day look like?
The Sr Manager Billing Operations oversees and leads the Client Account Supervisors and is responsible for the overall daily operations of the Client Accounts team. This position is responsible for ensuring that staff receive the training, mentoring and coaching necessary to meet the overall business objectives of the firm. 
You will ensure work assignments are completed in a timely manner and meeting the expectations of the attorneys and clients. Continually tracking the team’s metrics and making adjustments to the operations of the team as needed. You will analyze business processes and billing book assignments to ensure the most effective processes and balanced workloads are in place, developing new process/workflow/workload improvements based on analysis.
You will also be interacting with clients, attorneys and staff daily helping to resolve billing issues, including account analysis, and assists attorneys with processing and collection.
