Job Description Summary

DLA Piper is seeking an expert in satellite, wireless and network issues for our Telecom Regulatory group. We have an expanding need for engineering support, particularly given our international growth and global work.  We are looking for an engineer with 5-10 years of experience working on engineering modeling and interference analysis. In particular, the candidate should have working knowledge of Python and MATLAB and the use of these software tools to analyze engineering issues. Additional experience with simulations, such as Monte Carlo simulation tools, is a plus. J.D. not required.

Role at DLA Piper will be focused on terrestrial and satellite interference modeling and report writing. Candidate will work with senior engineers at DLA Piper to help model inter-system interference using in-house built modeling tools and simulators. Additionally, candidate should have the ability to work with large data sets—especially government data—to develop statistical-based risk analyses and to help provide data analytics to clients on regulatory matters. Experience with ITU recommendations and sharing studies would be helpful.

Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and possess superior analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
