Minimum Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • 1 year of demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must demonstrate a basic level of proficiency in Word
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with paralegals, attorneys, and clients regularly
  • Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills to manage volumes of documents, binders, letters, charts, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines


Preferred Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Experience and/or interest in learning and working with cutting edge legal tools and software  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to regularly interact with both clients and legal team members
  • Excellent organization and attention-to-detail skills to manage and track legal documents and  spreadsheets with multiple users and versions and prepare and maintain checklists 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines


What will your day look like? 
As a Corporate Transactions Assistant, you will assist attorneys, paralegals, and clients execute corporate transactions.  This will include attention to many organizational aspects of deals, including tracking, organizing, and editing documents, researching public records, assisting with electronic closing volumes, creating and maintaining signature tracking spreadsheets, entering data, and maintaining corporate records. You will also perform transaction research and assist the legal team in closing large transactions using electronic mail and signature collection and tracking progress. You will obtain documents and other information from governmental agencies or public agencies and information from accounting, timekeeping, and attorneys for audit letter responses.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements 
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. 


The expected pay range for this position, if hired to work in Palo Alto or San Francisco the expected pay range is $31.29 - $44.20 per hour. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and paid overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
