Case Assistant
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma
- One year of office experience
- Knowledge in MS Word
Preferred Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree
- Experience working in a law firm environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys
- Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using databases (SQL experience is not required)
What will your day look like?
- Assist in all aspects of trademark and copyright prosecution, enforcement and related department functions
- Review, update, and research trademark details using databases and proprietary online platforms
- Review, analyze, and process trademark office correspondence and documents from international counsel
- Research legal issues related to foreign and domestic intellectual property law and regulations.
- Prepare reporting communications, correspondence, and reminders regarding upcoming deadlines to clients
- Prepare and manage powers of attorney and authentication of official documents
- Assist with marketing and departmental administrative efforts.
