What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, analyzing, and promoting diversity goals and objectives firm wide. You will ensure best practices in recruitment, retention, and the promotion of diversity, fostering a culture that not only embraces diversity, but also maintains a culturally sensitive work environment. You will assist in implementing strategies from the overall diversity plan, which includes the development and oversight of effective diversity and inclusion training for lawyers and staff. Additionally, you will create and implement measurement tools to successfully track firm progress in attaining diversity goals. You will assess and analyze trends and issues that require careful attention and are critical to a successful diversity program. You will engage in innovative thinking—advocating for change and an inclusive firm culture. You will be responsible for collaborating with the hiring committee and professional development staff in all offices to establish programs to attract and retain diverse lawyers, including mentoring initiatives. If requested, you will also support clients on diversity initiatives of mutual interest and support diversity-related marketing efforts with new and existing clients.

- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years’ experience in the areas of diversity management, change management, and/or organizational development
- Proven ability to provide senior-level guidance, direction, and counsel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to initiate activities and operate independently while at the same time serving in a team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Detail-orientated
- Creative, self-sufficient, and collaborative
- Mindful of the importance of confidentiality
- Able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Able to travel as needed
